Welcome to MindSpace NI

MindSpace NI offers professional, compassionate counselling and therapy, providing a safe and supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin your healing journey.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and reaching out for counselling is a powerful and courageous step towards understanding yourself and improving your wellbeing.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, you are not alone - support is available.

Meet Linda

I am a qualified counsellor and therapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Over the past five years, I have supported people in a variety of roles across:

  • Cruse Bereavement Services

  • Women’s Aid

  • Chrysalis Women’s Centre

  • Portadown Wellness Centre

Through this work, I have developed experience supporting people with bereavement, trauma, low self-esteem, emotional distress, domestic abuse, and significant life changes.

Alongside my professional role, I am also a partner, mum, daughter, friend, and colleague. These life experiences have deepened my understanding of the pressures many people carry, often quietly and alone.

At the heart of my work is a belief in the importance of connection. Feeling heard, understood, and supported can be the starting point for meaningful change.

At MindSpace NI, I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, and begin to find clarity and a way forward.

MindSpace NI was established to provide exactly that — a dedicated, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, express yourself openly, and work towards meaningful change and healing.
In today’s busy world, it can be difficult to prioritise your own mental health. Work, family, and other responsibilities often come first. MindSpace NI offers you the time and space to focus on yourself, without judgement or pressure, and at a pace that feels right for you.

How I Work
Integrative Counselling

I work as an integrative counsellor, which means I tailor therapy to you as an individual. There is no one-size-fits-all approach — instead, I draw from different therapeutic models to support you in a way that feels most helpful.

For many people, counselling offers a safe and supportive space to talk openly — somewhere you can feel heard, accepted, and understood with warmth and genuineness.

At times, we may use elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a more structured approach that helps you identify and change unhelpful patterns in your thoughts and behaviours.

We may also explore past experiences, including those from childhood, to understand how they may still be shaping your emotions, relationships, and responses today.

Alongside this, I gently incorporate elements of Somatic therapy. This involves paying attention to how emotions can show up in the body — for example, through tension, breath, or physical sensations — and learning simple ways to support regulation and a greater sense of calm.

Working in this integrative way allows therapy to remain flexible and responsive — adapting as your needs evolve, and supporting you at your own pace.
